Post 1

Hi, Kate and Paul both slept like logs for our first night in Beijing. Been to the great wall this morning- WOW. Made me feel a little dizzy being that high, especially the cable car- good job the kids were there to hold my hand. Had a huge Chinese feast for dinner with revolving table- Paul sampled everything!!! Off to birds nest this afternoon and the silk museum. Hope everyone is ok x

    Hi Katie Mam here I AM missing you like crazy!! but I'm so happy your all having a good time I hope your not melting we keep checking the temp in Beijing.....can't imagine how hot it is! We saw the Olympic torch relay at Herrington Park yesterday (it was raining - hasn't stopped since you left!) Can't wait to see you lots of love Mam oxo

    Hi to everyone,

    Sounds like you have had an amazing day despite being a little tired. I loved the Great Wall when I went to set the project up and couldn't believe seeing it curl into the distance forever........An amazing sight! The pictures look incredible and you look great. Well done Paul for trying to eat absolutely everything. Hope you enjoyed the Bird's Nest Stadium and the silk farm.
    I was at Herrington Park yesterday with Rhys and Juliet. Miss Bell was there too and we were absolutely soaked and covered in mud. More like a mud race!!!! 38 degress must be a welcome change from the weather here. Take care and look after each other. love from Mrs Thompson xxx

    Sounds like you are all having a fantastic time, I wish I was there with you to join in the fun, especially the eating part!!! Dad is missing you Paul & thankyou SOOOO much for my Fathers Day card & presents (I am using my coffee mug & wearing my Fathers Day badge with pride too)!!! I am especially glad Paul that you are trying all the foods put in front of you, can you try that at home a bit more please for your Mam & Dad!!! Hahahahaha, only joking!!! I hope the rest of your trip is as fantastic as your first couple of days have been so far!!! Stay safe everyone & Paul Dad loves you to bits!!!     Hello Paul, hello everyone,
    Dad here again. It appears as if day two in Beijing was a busy day & I hope you in particular Paul are coping with the heat?!!! It certainly looks as though you all enjoyed it as the pictures are brilliant!!! I was especially interested to hear the story of the Forbidden City, it's very interesting to know the history behind it & how privileged you all must have felt being there, I'm dead jealous son!!!! I hope you all have a safe & enjoyable flight to Harbin & may you all enjoy the rest of your stay in China, it really looks a fantastic country!!!
