Day 6

  1. So good to be reunited with Paul, we have missed him so much. Paul has been telling us all about his adventures in Beijing and Harbin. We agree that no one else in the family will ever see what Paul has seen and he is still only 9. what a wonderful opportunity. He has promised to share his experiences with everyone at school. The photos are amazing. Thanks so much to everyone involved in taking Paul on this life changing trip.

  2. We would also like to thank everyone for the opportunity Kate was given. I think that it's going to take weeks for us to hear all of her stories and understand the magnitude of what the kids have experienced. She seems to have come back to us older, wiser and a foot taller!
A special BIG thank you to Miss Hepworth for looking after our little girl. We couldn't have wished for a safer pair of hands.

  3. An amazing end to a memorable week. Thanks to everyone who went on this visit and also to our partner school for making this first visit to China so unforgettable. This partnership started 3 years ago when I visited Harbin with a group of 8 Headteachers with Sunderland Local Authority, Sunderland university and members of the business community. We welcomed our partner Headteacher back to Sunderland 2 years ago and have been planning this visit for the pupils for a long time. Paul, Kate and Miss Hepworth have had such a successful visit - the first of many to leave Benedict BIscop for China. We are hoping to welcome pupils from our partner school in the near future.
